On Thursday 21st March 2024, five very excited Year 2 pupils represented the school at the GVTSSP KS1 Key Steps Gymnastics Competition.
This competition is one of the more difficult competitions on the sporting calendar, with a lot of time spent practising and developing a floor routine and a vault . The criteria for the gymnastics competitions are based on the requirements set out in the Key Steps Gymnastic resource from British Gymnastics. Routines and vaults are judged by a panel of judges from Mid Suffolk Gymnastics Club.
The five pupils had worked hard over the last half term developing their routine, showing determination and teamwork throughout. At the competition all pupils gave it all and were absolutely amazing - a real credit to the school. Abbot's Hall achieved silver position! An amazing achievement for all.
