Log inU9 Basketball Competition
On Tuesday 6th February 2024, nine pupils from Year 4 went to Finborough School to take part in the GVTSSP U9 Basketball Development Competition. This is the first time we have attended a basketball competition for this age group. There were four schools at the competition - Finborough School, Combs Ford Primary School, Trinity Primary School and Abbot's Hall.
Each school took part in basketball skill based challenges - a passing challenge; a dribbling challenge and a shooting challenge. All of the pupils from Abbot's Hall performed well showing great teamwork and determination to do their best.
Then, the games began. Abbot's Hall were drawn against Finborough School for all four of their games! This did not deter the pupils from putting in their all and persevering right to the end of each and every game. With each game the pupils gained confidence and their understanding of the game improved. Results below.
