Times tables are an important part of being a confident mathematician! As a school, we use the program 'Times Table Rock Stars' to support our learners with memorising their multiplication and related division facts.
A national multiplication check has been introduced in Year 4. Children should know all times tables up to 12 x 12 by the end of Year 4.
Children will be supported within lessons in school; however teachers would appreciate help from parents in ensuring children are fluent with this as they will only have 6 seconds to answer each question! The 'Soundcheck' game simulates this check.
All children from Year 2 (in the Spring term) will have been given a username and password by their class teacher which can be found in the front of their reading journals. If your child is having difficulty logging on, please speak to the class teacher.
