Daily Learning

Thank you for taking the time to complete some learning tasks at home during the time that school is closed. We really appreciate your support in continuing with learning to support the revision and progress of your child.

Each day we will post a '5 a day', this is something our children love to do each morning. We will also post some ideas for Maths, English and Topic, linked to learning your children will have already been doing in school. We aim to post a mixture of activities that can be downloaded, completed online and also activities that can be completed off-screen. The daily activities we have planned for you should aim to total around 2-4 hours.

We hope you enjoy learning together at home.

Hello Year 1, I hope you enjoyed yesterday's learning!

I can't believe we are half way through our first week of this half term. You have all grown into such fabulous independent learners and all the work you are sharing from home is making us feel really proud of how far you've come - we are just feeling sad that we can't all be together for these last weeks of your time in year 1, but are really pleased that we will be seeing some of you in school this week.

Now that year 1 have been invited to return to school, Miss Wakefield, Mrs Brown and Mrs Horrex will all be in school with these children. For those of you who are at home continuing your learning  - Mrs Horrex will be checking class emails on a Monday and Tuesday and Miss Brennan will be busy uploading work to the website and responding to emails on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. So you are still most welcome to make contact with us in this way and someone will be able to respond - please do bear with us if you don't get a response as fast usual as I'm sure you will appreciate we will be working with children in school for most of the day.

This half term's topic is fairy tales and we have lots of fun activities planned to deliver this learning. This week in maths we will be learning about position and direction - so get ready to get moving to help you with this!

Hello everyone,

I thought you might like a new story to watch and listen to this week. This half term I will be adding a new story on every Tuesday! I hope you enjoying them. There are so many great stories.
