Thank you for taking the time to complete some learning tasks at home during the time that school is closed. We really appreciate your support in continuing with learning to support the revision and progress of your child.
Each day we will post a '5 a day', this is something our children love to do each morning. We will also post some ideas for Maths, English and Topic, linked to learning your children will have already been doing in school. We aim to post a mixture of activities that can be downloaded, completed online and also activities that can be completed off-screen. The daily activities we have planned for you should aim to total around 2-4 hours.
We appreciate that there are lots of other learning opportunities at home, so if you do run out of time or cannot complete something, please do not worry. We ensure each activity is left up for the week so you can always go back later on if you need to!
We hope you enjoy learning together at home.
A message from Miss Saunders and Miss Lines- 02/04/20
Good Morning Year 4!
As some of you already know, today was planned to be a special celebration day in school to commemorate our dear colleague Mrs Dolan. We had planned to dress as animals and enjoy visits from animals to our school. This was because Mrs Dolan really, really loved animals! Mrs Dolan's Day will now be postponed until we are all back at school together, however we have still planned some animal activities for you to complete at home today! So pack your bags, we're off on a virtual trip! Take a look on the topic page to see where we would like you to 'go'. You may like to do your topic learning first today to help you with your English activity.
Don't forget, today is the last day of our Phase 3 Times Table Rock Stars Competition! Where each class is battling against another class from a different year group! Here are the scores so far:
Keep going Year 4! Miss Saunders and Miss Lines have also been setting battles with you from home too!
Finally, it is that time of the week (yes a day early!) to put on our proud song and think about something you have achieved or worked hard at this week! We think everyone should be very proud for completing their first two weeks of home learning (and grown-ups!). We have loved seeing lots of fantastic Diwali Lamps, which we know Mrs Barker has been very pleased to see too!
We hope you all have a fantastic Easter and a very well deserved rest! Enjoy the sunshine and spending time with your families.
Miss Saunders, Miss Lines and Flint the pup!
