Daily Learning

Thank you for taking the time to complete some learning tasks at home during the time that school is closed. We really appreciate your support in continuing with learning to support the revision and progress of your child.

Each day we will post a '5 a day', this is something our children love to do each morning. We will also post some ideas for Maths, English and Topic, linked to learning your children will have already been doing in school. We aim to post a mixture of activities that can be downloaded, completed online and also activities that can be completed off-screen. The daily activities we have planned for you should aim to total around 2-4 hours.

We appreciate that there are lots of other learning opportunities at home, so if you do run out of time or cannot complete something, please do not worry. We ensure each activity is left up for the week so you can always go back later on if you need to!

We hope you enjoy learning together at home.

Daily Messages

A message from Miss Saunders and Miss Lines- 03/07/2020

Good Morning Year 4!

Another week nearly complete! Don't forget to find your uniform today and put it on whilst you complete your learning, although I'm sure some of you have grown a bit! Take a photo and send a it in so we can see how great you all look!

We hope you have enjoyed learning lots about the Greek Gods and Goddesses and today you can enjoy writing them up. You may like to set it out as a fact file but don't forget to add the key features. Hopefully you will all have fun completing some computing today where you will learn to be programmers!

At the weekend Miss Saunders and Miss Lines will both choose our winner for the Nature Photography Challenge! Remember, your photograph can be of a landscape, bird or animal or even a flower. We know a couple of you have taken a couple on some of your walks, but try and choose your favourite one to send to us!

Have a lovely day,

Miss Lines and Miss Saunders smiley

  • Emails- As Miss Saunders is now working in school please email Miss Lines if you need support with your learning or need a quick response to a question. However, both Miss Saunders and Miss Lines would still love to see and hear all about your learning you are doing at home. Please email us on:

  • Reading Planet- As you will not have read these books at school before, you may find some of the levels a little different to what you are used to. Here is an APPROXIMATE year/age for each band, however you may have to try a couple of different ones until you work out the correct level you should be on. Below, you will also find a list of the books for each band which you can then search for to make it a little easier to find. Otherwise, please ensure you keep scrolling past the quizzes and then you will see the book titles come up.
